RESEARCH GROUPS & PROJECTS
Entrepreneurial groups fighting climate change in unique ways, from creating indexes and opinion maps, to tracking corporate responsibility for emissions and developing sustainable agricultural practices.
Climate Action Tracker
The Climate Action Tracker is an independent scientific analysis that tracks government climate action and measures it against the globally agreed Paris Agreement aim of "holding warming well below 2°C, and pursuing efforts to limit warming to 1.5°C." A collaboration of two organisations, Climate Analytics and New Climate Institute, the CAT has been providing this independent analysis to policymakers since 2009.
Yale Program On Climate Change Communication
We conduct scientific research on public climate change knowledge, attitudes, policy preferences, and behavior, and the underlying psychological, cultural, and political factors that influence them. We also engage the public in climate change science and solutions, in partnership with governments, media organizations, companies, and civil society, and with a daily, national radio program, Yale Climate Connections.
The Solutions Project
We are The Solutions Project. We seek out solutions to the climate crisis by the people, for the people. 100% for 100%. Let’s create the future we want. Now.
We support climate changemakers, innovators, and solutionaires at the grassroots. We back them with grants, amp up their media capacity, and hook them up with influential people. They do the heavy lifting — we're there for support.
OtherLab
Similar to an accelerator/incubator, but with internally developed ideas, we nurture projects through the initial R&D phase, to forming internal entities, and eventually fundraising and spinning out into independently operating companies.
Currently, we help government agencies and Fortune 500 companies understand energy infrastructure and build transformational technologies that bring us closer to 100% decarbonization.
