CLIMATE ACTION CAMPAIGN
Climate Action Campaign has a simple mission:
STOP THE CLIMATE CRISIS
Climate change demands a revolution to democratize all forms of power—fossil fuels, solar, wind and most importantly, economic and political power. To stop the climate crisis, we need experienced advocates and trained community members at the local, state, and national levels promoting relevant, achievable, and legally binding climate policies.
Climate Action Campaign is unique in the San Diego and southern California region in that it is solely focused on stopping the climate crisis through policy action. 100% of our time, energy, and finances are dedicated toward achieving this essential mission.
SAN DIEGO GREEN NEW DEAL ALLIANCE
This 2020 Climate Action Plan Report Card revealed sobering news: Our region is not on track to meet climate targets that represent the minimum action needed to secure a safe and livable future. Furthermore, recent climate science reports, including the landmark United Nations IPCC Report, Global Warming of 1.5 Degrees Celsius, say we need to go beyond what local and state laws commit us to — we need a plan to reach net-zero emissions.
From this news, we concluded that we must think bigger and bolder. We must come together to determine a path to a San Diego region that is sustainable, equitable, and prosperous.
Similar to the national Green New Deal Resolution, this initiative would model how to create catalytic change here in our own backyard through investments in infrastructure and industry to fight the climate crisis, center front-line communities, and build a just society with an economy that works for all.
SAN DIEGO 350
SanDiego350 is an inclusive volunteer organization building a movement to prevent the worst impacts of climate change and climate injustice. We strive to create a future that supports a livable planet and just society through education and outreach, public policy advocacy, and mobilizing people to take action.
Our vision is for an informed, mobilized and united community that is empowered to reduce our carbon footprint, and hold our elected officials accountable for creating a low-carbon, sustainable and just world. Our power comes from our alliance with social justice, environmental, labor, health, faith and other partners.
SUNRISE MOVEMENT SAN DIEGO
Sunrise is a movement to stop climate change and create millions of good jobs in the process.
We’re building a loud, energetic, and active base of young people to make climate change an urgent priority across America, end the corrupting influence of fossil fuel executives on our politics, and elect leaders who stand up for the health and wellbeing of all people.
We are ordinary young people who are scared about what the climate crisis means for the people and places we love. We are gathering in classrooms, living rooms, and worship halls across the country. Everyone has a role to play. Public opinion is already with us – if we unite by the millions we can turn this into political power and reclaim our democracy.
We are not looking to the right or left. We look forward. Together, we will change this country and this world, sure as the sun rises each morning.

SAN DIEGO CLIMATE MOBILIZATION COALITION
We are a San Diego coalition calling on the U.S. Government to implement a WW II-scale mobilization to end the use of fossil fuels.
