GREEN NEW DEAL AT UCSD
We are a group of students, postdocs, staff, faculty, alumni, and retirees working together to advocate for real climate action and climate justice. We focus our efforts on holding our leaders accountable and center our activism on demanding that UCSD: 1) Teach students about the climate crisis and climate justice, 2) Specify and meet decarbonization goals by 2025, and 3) Cut financial ties with the fossil fuel industry. Our final goal is to 4) Build and mobilize climate coalitions in our communities.
ENGINEERS FOR A SUSTAINABLE WORLD
We are the University of California, San Diego chapter of Engineers for a Sustainable World, a student-run organization dedicated to bringing communities together to develop, implement, and share sustainable technologies and practices worldwide.
INTER-
SUSTAINABILITY COUNCIL
The Inter-Sustainability Council at UC San Diego welcomes all of the environmental student organizations, departments, and staff associations on campus who encompass goals within sustainability. The goal of ISC is to bring together all of these sustainability organizations in order to foster an environment of growth, productivity, and collaboration on our campus.
CALPIRG
We are UC San Diego's premier student public interest activism group. We work to protect the environment, provide hunger relief, and promote civic engagement.
Our CALPIRG chapter works with professional staff on campus to educate the public, run grassroots campaigns, and lobby our elected officials in Sacramento and in Washington DC so we can get real results.
UC SAN DIEGO SUSTAINABILITY AMBASSADORS
The Sustainability Ambassadors Program is a registered campus student organization sponsored by the UC San Diego Sustainability Office and the UC Office of the President’s Carbon Neutrality Initiative. This program aims to educate and engage students through peer education and programming to raise awareness of UC San Diego’s efforts to reach carbon neutrality and encourage students to implement sustainable living methods.
UCSD STUDENTS FOR CONSERVATION
UCSD Students for Conservation is dedicated to building a community of undergrads passionate about conservation and sustainability.
